    As a Customer Service Specialist, you will solve problems and be the voice of our brand, ensuring that every customer interaction not only resolves issues but enhances loyalty, trust, and referrals. By supporting our customers with care, insight, and resourcefulness, you’ll directly contribute to our growth by turning satisfied clients into enthusiastic advocates.

    What You’ll Do

    • Deliver prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable support to customers via phone, email, and chat
    • Actively listen with empathy and expertise using research to resolve account discrepancies and customer inquiries, issues, and handle customer complaints by coordinating with production, warehouse, shipping, and carrier teams to trace and expedite delayed or missing shipments
    • Review and process customer orders, applying correct pricing and discounts, and communicate order details including charges, shipping dates, potential delays, and any required follow-up information
    • Prepare, issue, and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accurate discounts or price adjustments are applied
    • Communicate with customers regarding past-due accounts, process credit card payments and refunds, and manage credit card disputes with providers
    • Collaborate with sales, technical, and product teams to ensure seamless customer journeys
    • Collect and share customer insights to help Coastal Source innovate and improve
    • Champion a “customer first” mindset, helping shape service as a competitive advantage

    What We’re Looking For

    • 5+ years of proven experience in customer service, ideally in a fast-paced or technical product environment
    • High School diploma or GED required; Associate or BA/BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field of study a plus
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Problem-solving attitude with an eye for business impact
    • Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse customers
    • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems and products
    • Able to independently multitask and prioritize tasks

    Are you a curious and inventive problem solver with a drive to turn ideas into reality? Coastal Source, a leader in high-performance outdoor audio and lighting solutions, is seeking a dynamic Engineer specializing in electrical, mechanical, or industrial design to join our talented R&D team at our vibrant Marathon, Florida location. In this role, you will report directly to the VP of Design & Engineering.

    What You’ll Do

    • Design and develop cutting-edge audio and lighting components for outdoor environments, from concept to production
    • Work on projects involving low-voltage LED lighting systems and high-fidelity audio amplifier circuits
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contributing expertise across all phases of product development—including prototyping, testing, and refinement
    • Utilize SolidWorks to draft, model, and visualize innovative designs; proficiency in Illustrator is a valuable plus
    • Troubleshoot, iterate, and improve upon designs, always pushing for aesthetic, functional, and technical excellence
    • Ensure designs meet environmental and electrical requirements unique to harsh outdoor environments (salt air, UV, heat, humidity, hurricane exposure, etc.)
    • Provide support for prototyping, production, and field deployments, including occasional hands-on installation assistance.

    About You

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field of study
    • 3+ solid years of hands-on experience with low-voltage LED lighting system design, power electronics, audio amplifier circuits, passive and active crossover network design and 120V AC electrical systems
    • Experience in product development or electrical design
    • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working on multiple product categories in a fast-paced, creative environment
    • Genuine curiosity to understand how things work and a passion for problem-solving and creating “cool” products that enhance the Coastal Source brand
    • Experience with test and measurement equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, audio analyzers, thermal cameras, etc.)
    • Proven skills in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design documentation (experience with Illustrator is a strong advantage)
    • Knowledge of embedded control systems (e.g. PLC, DMX, 0-10V, DALI, Bluetooth, Zigbee) and audio signal routing (balanced/unbalanced)
    • Understanding of photometric testing and lighting simulations
    • Familiarity with marine-grade or outdoor-rated enclosures, IP ratings and conformal coatings a plus

    DIGITAL CONTENT SPECIALIST – Gainesville, FL

    We are looking for a Digital Content Specialist who will support Coastal Source and its dealers by enhancing and maintaining our dealer website and product support platforms. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Management, this role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and effectiveness of our digital product information across key platforms.

    NOTE: Coastal Source is committed to fostering in-person collaboration, which is vital to our mission of operating as one. To support this commitment, employees are expected to either reside within a 30-mile radius of Gainesville, FL or report in-person daily to our Marathon, FL location. The salary offered will take into consideration the location, technical, and industry experience of the selected candidate.

    About You

    You are a detail-oriented software power-user with a high standard of excellence. You possess a dual mindset—you are incredibly meticulous and detail-oriented for necessary auditing and maintenance, but you also constantly look for opportunities to streamline processes and drive platform optimization. You are highly organized, happy to work on your own or as part of a team, and pick up new software and systems easily. You have strong English skills, enjoy learning, and take pride in making systems work seamlessly.

    Key Qualifications

    • Minimum of an associate’s degree in communications, marketing, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
    • Ability to quickly learn and master new software platforms and become a subject matter expert.
    • Experience with content management systems (CMS) or e-commerce platforms preferred.
    • Familiarity with helpdesk or knowledge base software (like Mavenoid) is a plus.
    • Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management/collaboration tools is a plus.
    • Experience with JavaScript is preferred.
    • Proven ability to manage and maintain digital content on web platforms.
    • Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail, capable of identifying and correcting inconsistencies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a very strong grasp of the English language.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently, identifying tasks and acting without explicit instruction.
    • Strong collaborative skills, comfortable working as part of a team.
    • A strong desire to become an expert in all Coastal Source products to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
    • Ability to quickly respond to requests and manage multiple priorities effectively.

    What You’ll Do

    System Maintenance

    • Ensure all product data (SKUs, specs, documentation) remains meticulously consistent and up to date across the Dealer Website, Mavenoid Flows, and Smartsheet databases, recognizing that maintenance and updates are critical to the company’s operational efficiency.

    Dealer Website Management

    • Manage all product content on the Coastal Source Dealer Website, including adding and removing products, updating product photos, descriptions, specifications, documentation, SKUs, and SKU options.
    • Quality Control & Consistency: Proactively and systematically audit all product pages to ensure absolute consistency, accuracy, and adherence to established style guidelines across the entire product line.
    • Maintain web documentation and optimize content organization for ease of access and clarity.
    • Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Dealer Website Admin panel.

    Mavenoid Platform Administration

    • Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Mavenoid, understanding its functionalities and integrations with other Coastal Source software and platforms.
    • Develop and implement new Mavenoid Flows based on internal requests and identified business needs.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for new Flows or improved flow organization to enhance business efficiency and user experience.
    • Maintain all Mavenoid documentation and ensure Flows are kept current in response to product updates and changes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Mavenoid with other relevant platforms.

    Smartsheet System Optimization

    • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Smartsheet across Coastal Source.
    • Provide expert assistance to all employees in creating, modifying, and optimizing Smartsheet usage.
    • Collaborate with the VP of Product Management to manage and maintain the New Product Introduction (NPI) / Product Management Smartsheet Workspace, including sheets and dashboards, to ensure efficient product management processes.
    • Continuously seek out and implement best practices and new features within Smartsheet to improve organizational usage and efficiency.
